Concert Season

The TCB plays four major concerts (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer/Fourth of July) a year with the season starting in September (usually the second Thursday in Sept) and ending in July.

  1. Fall
  2. Winter
  3. Spring
  4. Summer/Fourth of July

Additionally, several minor (but still just as important) concerts are spread throughout the concert season including: Thornton Winterfest, Thornton Twist and Shout Summer Concert Series, “Pop-up” concerts, and assorted other concerts throughout the year!

New members are always welcome!

We do not require an audition to join the band and will do our best to seat you if there is a spot open in your section. Minimum experience to play with us is that we require high school level experience on your instrument to play in the TCB (even if it was twenty years ago!). Check out our Join TCB page to see what sections have openings!

Artistry •Entertainment •Education

Established in September 2007, the Thornton Community Band, based out of Thornton, Colorado, strives to provide a Denver-metro destination for musicians to make music and friendships, by promoting our three core values of artistry, entertainment, and education in all aspects of our band!

Our first rehearsal was March 13, 2008, with 75 members.

We continue to give a HUGE thank you to the City of Thornton for making a dream a reality in April 2022 by providing the band the use of the McAllister Park Center for band rehearsal, a place to store our music literature library, and a home for our percussion!
